Just like in real estate, location is an important factor in helping your cat love (and use) their litter boxes. Ideally, each box should be placed in a different room or area of your home — not lined up, one right next to the other. If you have multiple levels, it’s best to put at least one litter box on each floor, too. Be sure to avoid loud or drafty spots, and steer clear of high-traffic areas. Tick all of these “boxes,” and you’ll be several steps closer to helping your cat use theirs.
