If disaster strikes and evacuation is necessary, you certainly don’t want to leave your cat behind. You also can’t afford to spend precious time scrambling to figure out who’s responsible for the cats, or where the travel crates and first-aid kits are. Create an evacuation plan that includes your pets, and make sure you have a place to go that will accept them. It’ll decrease stress and improve everyone’s chance of survival.
