Contrary to popular opinion, cats donât pee and poop outside their boxes to spite their owners. (Cats really arenât jerks!) Thereâs typically either an environmental reason (dirty litter boxes, too few boxes, recently adopted and stress of âgetting settled in,â etc.) or a medical cause (bladder inflammation, urinary tract infection, arthritis, etc.). Rather than writing your cat off as a âbad cat,â think outside the box, and if the problem continues, bring your kitty to your vet. The sooner you do, the happier your kitty will be ⊠and the less frustrated youâll feel. Win-win!
