Though cats have a reputation for being fastidious groomers, their ears can be a bit tricky for them to keep clean. Cats can get ear infections from painful ear mites, or from out-of-control yeast or bacteria. And allergies and ear polyps increase a cat’s risk for ear infections. Ask your vet to show you how to check and clean your cat’s ears, and what to look for to know if there might be a problem that would benefit from a vet visit.
