Don’t underestimate your abilities as a kitty lift! Look for opportunities to help your cat get where they need to go.

It could be as simple as steadying them as they stand up after an extended nap with sore muscles, helping them onto your lap, or lifting them up and down off furniture.

Just be sure that if you lift them somewhere and then leave, they can get down safely on their own.

There are products like slings and wheelchairs that can be helpful in some cases. Because cats do their own thing on their own time (as opposed to a dog, for example, going for an afternoon walk and out for scheduled pee breaks), it may be hard to catch your cat at the right time to use them. But give it a shot. Anything that helps is … helpful.
